What we do

A hand that restores hope

The organization runs different programs throughout the course of the year in accordance to the year
planner. These events include the following:

 

Pad drives

In the main of ensuring the safeguarding of woman, these outreach programmes include donating female sanitary pads to disadvantaged communities. This is in pursuit of alleviating period poverty amongst young women in South Africa.

 

Career and Academic Development

Young people are exposed to career advice, academic tutoring services and self-development opportunities. These programmes are designed to give the youth direction in respective decisions regarding their future.

 

Food distribution drive

Food security is an ongoing challenge within disadvantaged communities and therefore as an organization we seek to ensure that such challenges are alleviated. We do this through programmes which include distributing food parcels and preparing warm hearty meals for the communities.

 

School shoe drive

School uniform is an issue within communities, many young people attend school without the necessary uniform which may affect their ability to learn. The school shoe drive seeks to address the uniform challenge within disadvantaged families by distributing school shoes to the less fortunate.

On this day through a partnership with Bobby Motaung we managed to hold a successful celebration of Youth Day at Uitkoms Home for girls, different speakers came through to encourage and give career guidance to the girls.

 

Mandela day at An old age home

We celebrated the life of Nelson Mandela by dedicating our time on the day to an old age home distributing blankets, preparing meals and helping take care of the elderly.

 

Tutoring and examination preparation for high school learners

Access to the necessary resources and material for examination preparation can become very difficult for the underprivileged. As a result the organisation hold tutoring and exam preparation sessions were students are equipped with the necessary skills and content to do well in their academics.
